I was thinking the same thing, when reading the thread.

Re: Trick Flow Intake Elbow

I got one and had some problems with the cheap crap couplers.Anyone know the correct size in silicone that would work. I like silicone from my turbo cars much better than cheap crap that comes with it.

And to vent opti you drill a hole in the trick flo. Its already got an iat hole in it.

Re: Trick Flow Intake Elbow

My car gained 30RWHP from this, DYNO proven. And we got an extra 5HP from the sticker I put on my bumper.

It won't "hurt" your car to have the opti vacume off as it really serves to keep it dry and such. I wouldn't recomend it though. You can simply attach the vacume line into the rubber couplers. Drill/cut a hole and use some sort of vacume line that will allow for you to hook up the line. Not very complicated...just fit it into the intake tract somewhere. You could even take your vacume from before the MAF in those rubber elbows and gromets.

Re: Trick Flow Intake Elbow

So it is fine to put it before the MAF? There isnt any room on the couplers after the MAF but I have something I can hook up to before it.

Re: Trick Flow Intake Elbow

You just need some sort of vacume.

Vacume is vacume as I understand it.

Re: Trick Flow Intake Elbow

The kit comes with the grommit and instructions on what size hole to drill and location. Pretty easy stuff. It does add a nice touch under the hood even if it doesn't add performance.

Well I would call Trick Flow up and ask if you can get one from them.
I'm sure they would just give it to you.
If not it can't cost much.
