Re: Trick Flow heads

Sorry for the confusion on the above, but that’s what I get for thinking I’m actually tricky. Hopefully the two post make sense.

They're either working for $8/hr, or aren't putting the same amount of hours into something & it's almost invariably the latter .

Good luck!

I frankly have no issues in the suggestion of getting what you pay for and if you want the best, you pay more. Don’t think this is a revolutionary concept at all. No question he who has the most money usually wins almost any game, expecially automotive. It’s the process of getting from point A to point Z, I have questions regarding.

Again…. How are excellent flow numbers, discharge coefficients, wet flow, swirl, velocity, etc. all achieved and what is their impact on making power?? And.. what is it that goes into those man hours that separates a mediocre set of heads from trophy heads?

Please no books and I'm not intending on getting into the porting business… but a little insights would be nice as I'll pay for quality anyday. (If I happen to have the money that is)

Re: Trick Flow heads

You just ask them to justify their price if they are a head porter in a concise easily understood manner. Most of the guys that have learned this stuff consider that intellectual property, and at the least don't know how to put it in short answer. They don't write market ads so I am not surprised that you didn't get an answer even if it is a worthy question.
