treperformance 255lph pump or walbro 255lph pump

alright so i could get a deal for it for 65+5.99 shipping on ebay. i noticed that the walbro is 99.99 plus shipping also.. in each ad they are both compared. the treperformance has a 1 year warranty and the walbro does not. also it says the walbro is loud, and the treperformance is not... im on a budget other wise i would get the racetronix kit which i have heard nothing but good news from..

havent found many thread on the TRE pumps but what i did people didnt seem to satisfied.. i dont if this is because of incorrect or sloppy installation or ACTUAL pump problems..

and on the walbros it seems like people complain alot about noise and fitting problems. so again my question is are these incorrect installation or pump working problems.

I think this alone should give you a heads up to go buy the Walbro instead, I'm sure everyone else will say go for the Walbro, I "think" im on stock pump so I cannot elaborate any further.
Iv rode in a car with a Walbro 180lph pump and it never caused any "noise issues". However they pumps are completely different rateings so

I would buy the Walbro and be done with it myself.

I have the Walbro 255 and I'm totally satisfied with it

So another vote for Walbro. Be sure to go with a reputable dealer there have been reports of low quality counterfeits .

There are two basic 255lph dropin tank pumps, the Walbro which is sold under a LOT of different brand names and slight differences, or a chinese copy of it. I am not specifically familiar with the TRE but if it is that cheap I would guess it to be the chinese copy.

I also looked into these pumps, the problem I found was that the TRE pump was not the offset inlet that is required to keep the stock fuel pump basket intact and functioning properly. I bought the $100 Walbro pump with the offset inlet and it fit great not anymore noisy than the stocker. Definetly holds much better line pressure compared to the dying stocker! Offset inlet is the key difference.

anyway in adding a larger inlet? just curious because spending 35 bucks more for the walbro seems alittle much for just a larger inlet

I bounced between the two as well...

Finally thought that the Walbro would be the logical choice since (even though I hacked the door) I didn't really want to have to increase my chances of FP failure with an "off" brand.

No issues....it kicks ***.

My opinion,
Ivan
