Wrong shift rpm
Wrong shift rpm
Datalogged the car this past week for the first time and discovered the car is shifting between 6125-6250... it was supposed to be tuned to shift @ 6500. How much do you guys think this could be hurting my et shifting so low? Time in sig
I would contact Ed. I will tell you though, the rpm that a trans is commanded to shift do not always correlate with when it actually happens. It is not so easy as setting shift rpm to 6500, it takes the trans sometime to actually shift. I have tuned cars that had to be set to shift as low as 5500 to shift at 6400rpm. It gets worse with more power and the amount can vary by gear. Just part of the fun of using digital controls with mechanical devices.
