Transmission Dying....

Need little help. Tonight driving home, I pulled in to get some food and when I was leaving, it had no pull. I drove it a little longer and realized in wasn't going into 1st. Not only that, but at 60 mph it was running about 2600 rpm (that should be 84 or so if I'm in 4th!). As soon as you let off the gas, rpm drops to idle and car just coast like it's in neutral.

Who makes the best 4L60E transmission for the dollar? I guess it's Vigilante time too.

I had a local shop rebuild mine for 750 carryout. I have not put it in yet but several of my local Camaro Club members have one and they highly recommended the shop.
I would check around your hometown and see if anybody does good work with the ODs.
I looked into Jet and some other NEW trannys but I could not stomach the price.
