Transmission Cooler Install for M6 to A4

Guys,

Since my radiator doesn't have any cooler line provisions since its an M6, I need to run a stand alone cooler. So does anyone who has the B&M tranny cooler know if it can be run directly instead of in series with the radiator?

Or can anyone recommend another brand that would work? I would like to still be able to mount the cooler in front of the radiator but am worried about fitting one of the bigger ones in there. I know the Perma Cools can be run alone but they are about 21" long, 7" high and 1 1/2" deep. I'm not sure if that would be able to fit in that steep angle thats in front of the radiator..

So can anyone help??

Thanks!

Mike

Yea I supose you could, I dont know about a six speed, but I see zero reason why you couldn't with an auto.

We are running a B&M Cooler all by itself and it works great.
It is a 96 LT1/4L60E in an 82 Trans Am.

Yep, exactly what was done to my car. The B&M trans cooler sits in front of the radiator.

I am using the B&M "Hi Tek" cooler. A picture is at http://www.bmracing.com/products/acc...iTekCooler.jpg It is small (10"x7-1/2"x4") and has an integral fan, so you could mount it anywhere.
