You know I meant to ask this question awhile back. When I went to the local parts store to get a transfilter, they asked me if I had the deep sump or the standard one. How the heck do you know that?

 

Its probably the regular one. If they look up the part for your car/tranny it should should the correct part. I believe the deep tranny filters have a longer neck for chevy trucks. They have a slightly deeper tranny pan.

 

Deep pans are on truck/van only. For anyone interested, you can put a factory deep pan/filter combo on an F-Body, though.
