tranny mount issues

just installed a new tranny mount from thunder racing.....it went in just perfect but now my car makes funny noises. when idling, there are rattles and hums that weren't there yesterday.....and when i'm driving...it just sounds funny. i think my cat is plugged because the exhaust stinks but is this a driveline problem or just exhaust. i was wondering if maybe the mount changed the driveline angle slightly. any thoughts??

i got the tranny mount from thunderracing also. i have vibration and some noise too but i believe that is normal for a poly mount.

Vibration is normal with the poly mount. The poly a much harder substance and does not soak up those little vibrations like rubber does. On the other hand it is much stronger. Does it smell like rotten egg. If so it's in the exhaust. Did this smell start at the same time you replaced the mount? I don't think you mentioned that.

that makes me feel better that it is normal......i didn't want to chew up any tranny or rear-end seals because of a mount. the smell is a little like rotten eggs and yes it's been there for a while.....the mount is making the vibration more noticeable. one good thing about the cat is that i have a full exhaust sitting around waiting to be put on so at least i'm covered there. thanks for the replies.
