tranny lines... got an idea

hey guys,

i bought a new tranny and stall for my 94 TA. i cut the old lines to get the tranny out in a hurray, plus i knew i would have stripped the lines connections anyways......

on the LS1 M30 (4l60e) the lines use a snap in fitting on the end (tranny)....... LT1dave told me about this.... anyone else used this or seen these lines before?

i took the lines out no problem... take off the cat heat shield (or you'll cut your hand/wrist up like a mother) and use a shorty wrench...

The holes in your case that the fittings screw into are the same size. You can just screw your originals into the new transmission case. If you choose to use the fittings with o-rings and retaining clips, you'll have to replace your cooler lines.

BTW, you know the lockup strategy is different on '95-up 4L60E's, right? They use a Pulse Width Modulated PWM solenoid in the valvebody to control lockup feel. If you install a '95-later trans. in your '94, you'll have lockup problems, and a check engine light. Of course GM tried to make this "idiot proof". The case electrical connectors are different, also.
