So I was talking to an engine builder today about a few things and we got on the topic of engine flushes.

I asked him about those flush kits you can buy at the local stores. He told me they are okay but hes seen some people damage their engines and wouldnt use it himself.

Told me their are 2 good ways to clean out your motor.

1st.

If your using regular oil try adding a bottle of mobil 1 5w30 with your oil change and drive around with that for about 3,000miles..

2nd

What he does with his high milage cars is hes adds about 200-400ml of basic tranny fluid before a highway trip say 100-200miles and then when he gets back he changes the oil.

Anybody try this out?
