okay well i went and road in a friends of mine 240 zx yesterday and now im completely disguested with my traction issue. granted his is just a 4 cyl, but its running 15psi boost along with widebands and a whole bunch of other crap, basically i want to be able to feel the acceleration like in his car. you can hammer the pedal and the rear wheel drive car just takes off. i know i wont feel the turbo spool up and im running probaby 80 hp under him put i cant feel any acceleration at all with my present tires. they just roast off. so i guess my question is with nitto 555r's 245 since thats all i can get on 16r's will i be able to hammer it in first gear already rolling and launch me back into the seat? im not looking for clutch drop traction just take off acceleration. any help is appreciated and i feel ashamed to say i want acceleration like a wimpy 4cyl. o yeah and im looking at a tune and LT's on top of my mods. thanks again

 

Well, my car with Nitto's hook from a roll like a mother and it ran a best of 13.4@106 NA and then I have a 100 shot on it and it would just spin a little from a first gear roll(5-10mph) with the n2o but that was with no heat. So I am sure with a good burnout that it would have. So I would say yeah your car would hook. And trust me I know what you mean about it feels like crap out the hole b/c its spinning, my does the same w/o DR and its a wonderful world when it hooks with the DR's, feels like a fast car.
