Yea a timeslip would definatly help. My friend Dustin has a full-bolton car with just a Hotcam on a 112 (with NO tuning yet) and he runs 12.8's all night long, so something isn't right in your set-up.

you need to get it on a dyno and see whats up. What were your 60's? What was the DA? What gear you running? Were you bogging or spinning? There are so many things that go et at the track we need to see em all.

Not trying to sound rude, but I never understand why some people do significant mods then don't get it properly tuned before going to the track and doing WOT runs. With a new motor/mods, I'd be more concerned about my A/F ratio, than my 60' time.

i dont think its THAT far off..considering it was VERY hot and humid out. thats a huge power killer. Get it dynoed/tuned, and get the SAE numbers.

with the right suspension and tires, and a 110 trap speed, that is a low 12.

not to mention, its your first time to the track.

Obviously the weather played a significant role, but something still sounds off...on a good night I'd really expect your combo to be in the 115-117mph range.

Re: track times for my forged 357

being the first time at the track is one thing, but shouldnt the trap speed be a lot higher regardless with a settup like that? or does track experience help raise mph that much more?

Re: track times for my forged 357

Get a dyno tune...

By the way, back when I made 368rwhp/336rwtq with LE2 heads, XE230/236 and a pig rich mailorder tune I ran 12.8 @ 111mph. It was humid out (it raind a few hours before the track opened). I went back 2 weeks later after not changing anything and ran 12.5 @ 114mph...consistent 114's all day.

Re: track times for my forged 357

hold on, this was my 1st time on this setup.
i've ran the car before with my old cam. i can run 5 times and be within .2 all runs. i'm a pretty consistent driver.
like last night..12.8 12.7 12.9

i was also expecting 115 traps.
well i decided its going on the dyno asap!
