Tps?

I have been having a problem with my tps. It only happens when I go wot. After I go wot the car throws a code and shifts incorrectly. The code is P0122 tps low voltage code. I have set the tps to .68v at 0% throttle but it sill throws the code at wot. I am thinking the tps is bad, it also Idles funny sometimes; sometimes the idle is high and other times the idle is low.

Monitor it with a scanner or meter while you run it through the operating range. You only need the key ON-engine does not have to be running.

My 2002 Z28 has been idling high, say 1300rpm when it used to idle at 800. Got the check engine light, had the code read, it's the TPS. It looks like a very straightforward replacement job...is there more to it than just taking off the old one and putting on the new one?

P0122 sets when the TPS voltage drops below 0.20V. That would indicate a dead spot, as mentioned in the post above, or a wiring problem.

kkollwitz:

You are in the wrong forum, this is LT1 Tech, you have an LS1. And its generally not a good idea to tack your problem onto someone else's thread, possibly adding confusion as to whom someone is responding to. Repost in your own thread on the LS1 forum.
