TPIS long tube headers?
I've researched these quite a bit. They have been around a while, but since they are a little more expensive they are less popular. The benefits are that they have a y-pipe available that will bolt right up to the 96-97 cat-back, they are supposed to be designed so you can use standard exhaust manifold bolts, and they are also supposed to be a little bit better for ground clearance than the Hooker/JetHot longtubes. The drawbacks, a little higher cost and no emissions fittings. Honestly though, considering you can get the coated headers and offroad y-pipe for under $900 and then install them yourself, I think it is not that much more than buying Jet-Hots and getting a shop to fab up a proper fitting y-pipe.
I used to have them on my '96 T/A. I loved them, the install was rediculously easy, however, I did have some problems with the steering linkage that req'd me to dimple a tube
Ground clearance is good, install is good, power is good, I didn't like the slip on collector flanges. This made it damn near impossible to remove the y-pipe. They're a great header, but honestly, I've gotta say I like my Jet Hots better. The TPIS headers would contact my steering shaft and lock the wheel up under hard acceleration (new stock motor mounts). I ultimately had to goto solids w/ these headers.
