Check Gages light coming on after 3500RPM

Was test driving my camaro tonight (having some other issues i was driving it to diagnose). Anyways, alf of a sudden tonight when i hit 3500+ RPM the check gages light comes on. Gages all seem fine (other than oil gage only reading about 35 pounds under WOT since my cam swap...but based on other threads i used this is pretty common and isn't a true indicationt due to location of oil pump on cam'd cars...correct me if i'm wrong as oil level etc. all seem fine). So is there any reason the check gages light would come on?

35PSI at over 3500 RPM?!?!? I have a cammed car, and at anything but idle I run at about 75 - 80 PSI. You've got something wrong.

I could be wrong, but I wouldn't think putting a new cam in would lower your oil pressure.
