torque and antiseize
torque and antiseize
What is the general rule to follow in applying torques specifications when tightening a bolt that has antiseize on it?
Also would bolts with sealent or locktight be torqued to wet or dry specifications.
Most torque numbers assume dry treads - so when lubricated less torque is required to overcome friction. I did some research and advice ranges from 20% to 50% of dry spec.
What do you all do?
