When I was pulling the timing chain cover. The gasket was stuck on it so hard and when i was prying it off I guess it tore. Can I just use some black RTV sealent instead of changing the oil pan gasket, or do I have to change out the whole gasket?

 

You should change it out, but you can just RTV it.


Mine has been rtv'ed well over a year with no problems, lots of others have done the same thing.
