Just curious... do you have a "basic" reference document, like a Chilton's manual? Or maybe the "Rebuilding the LT1/LT4" book? From your questions, it sounds like you may have limited experience with this kind of work. I've been doing this kind of stuff probably for more years than you've been alive, but I wouldn't even lift a wrench on what you are doing until I had fully reviewed the complete R&R procedures in a reliable manual.

well, i dont do anything till i have all info i need to get it finished... I've done this on other cars before, im just being extra cautious.. i've never started from scratch before, but i am honestly nearly done... and i don't think ill have a problem, also --- i HAVE TO do this on my own.. i've got noone to help me out right now, and there's a time limit not, but im not rushing at all.. i take pride in what i do, and i dont half *** anything.. i have plenty of books here but for the 93-97 chitons, and then the one for the actual car also -- 83. I started from scratch pretty much, bought every single part separate, this is for my 83 camaro, which i've been working on for 2 years now. I always like to post what im doing before i do it , so that maybe incase there's something i need to know that i might not know , would be good info for me :P

but yeh, i'm not completely clueless , i know a good nuff amount to get this done, i've come a long way from knowing just about nothing, and now im really enjoying what im doing with this project from the help of many others on forums , and me reading up on stuff too.. it's really a hobby for me :P , im not gunna let someone else do it.

Thanks though.
