Tire/rim question

Anyone running a 285/40-17 tire on 11in wheels?? Any experiences, pics?? What do you guys think. I know it can be done without probs my question is geared more to the "how does it look" aspect.

Thanks

its gonna look not so hot.. the tire wont stick out of the rim the amount that you'd be used to and you'd probably be more likely to curb them

What size rim are you putting them on? My friend has 17x10's all the way around with 285's and they're fine.

I was gonna go with 315's but to be honest I'm scared it'll be too much. The car is dropped about 1.75in and the wheels are 45mm offset... getting really confused...dammit!! I hate decisions!!
Anyway thanks for the advise ..please keep it comming and if someone has a pic or knows of a site please let me know.

Laterzzz...
