Tips on pulling an LT1....

I blew my head gasket in my 97 WS6, I think I am just gonna yank the motor and swap in a rebuilt one with a hotcam. Are there any tricks you guys used to make it easier or anything I should avoid to stay away from potential problems?

Take the motor out the bottom. It can be done with a cherry picker in about 3-4hrs for a first timer.

What if you dont have a lift? Have to get the car up awful high. THen you have to get the motor out the top.

You can pull the motor from the top. That's what I did when I pulled mine to get rebuilt last year.
