Tips for Jet-Hot(Hooker LT) Installs?
Gonna install my Jet-Hot(Hooker remake) header this weekend. I was wondering if people who had experience with the Hooker/Jet-Hot headers coule chime in here and offer some advice/give me tips on what you had to remove to get the headers in. Thanks.

Well here is some tips at least. First of all I hope your car is an auto unlike mine or else you will have so much fun with the pass side. For drivers side its real easy just angle it and push it up but you need to have the car pretty high up in the air like on the big jackstands 4ton ones. For pass side you gotta take the ac lines out of the way. You probably could do it all with em there but you dont want to that will had hours to the job. You will need to unbolt the pass side motor mountand jack engine up. Be sure to put a wood block on the jack so u dont hurt the oil pan. If you have an auto you may be able to get away without jacking it up. To do all the bolts(I got stage 8 locking headerbolts) but it will be the same routine no matter which ones. You will have to tightn then front and back bolts from underneath the car unless you altenator is out you can do the front one. As for the driver side the only one thats a bitch is the back one near firewall. Hope this at least helps a little. You can email me if you have any questions
My take on my LT install was that it wasn't nearly as hard as some of the guys on here claimed. Some of the bolts are tough to get to..........and the dipstick is a pain. However I've done alot of header installs on various cars.......and they are never easy. Just take your time and do it right the first time. Buy OVC wires now because you'll find that the stock length wires lay aginst the headers on the drivers side.
TTT. I had planned to take out: Starter and Alterntor. And I figured I needed to loosen a Motor Mount and Jack up Pass. side of the motor. I'll spend a good half hour trying to cram it in before deciding about the AC lines. Thanks for the Advice so far!! Anybody else got web-page Guides??
