Timing Set Question

Is melling a good replacement brand for a stock timing chain, I've only seen the LT4 and Comp versions, just looking to do a stock rebuild

Melling is decent but for a stock rebuild just use oem parts, save money! The OEM sets were going for about half that price and they are perfectly suitable for applications much stronger than stock!

Let me do some research for you, I know that GM Parts direct has them, however they nail you on shipping and they take a LONG time to ship. You could check with the dealers listed on shbox's site and get the PN and order from there, seeing that it is a GM Parts list they shouldn't vary from that price too much.

I went to my local dealership, was dirt cheap compared to the lt4, which I also have....

Found my receipt for my timing chain set

Chain $37.90
Sprocket $33.85
Sprocket $43.52
