Timing Question

Just finished with my cam installation and have it all buttoned up. Car is running except for an oil pan leak that I'll fix this weekend. Question is about timing. Is there a way that I can absolutel verify when I'm at number 1 TDC without removing the timing cover. I installed the crankshaft hub without paying attention to the arrow.

Thanks

Sure, pull the vavle cover and watch the valve events, or pull the sparkplug and find the compression stroke. How accurately do you need to know and why?
