Timing and fan temp. questions

Hey guys. I have tunercat and cable I got long time ago, and I also got PCMFORLESS to do a "load it yourself" programm for me to start. Today, I scaned my car, saved my stock programming and loaded the pcmforless tune. After that, I opened up both and compared the two. It seems that from the timing table, they only advanced my timing 1 deg. accross the board over the stock programming. (what is idle 100kpa or 25? In other words, more kpa you have the closer to WOT you are or the other way around, or neither). Is that usual (for my mods in the sig), or can I give a bit more timing. What about cooling fan temp setting for a 160 t-stat. They have it set at 82/82 and 86/86. Is that the lowest possible OR is it the optimal setting. I am tempted to move it down a couple more deg., but will the car then have trouble running in closed loop (not hot enough)? Thanks guys, I am just starting to learn this and its fun! I just need a laptop now so I can changed stuff all the time while driving, at work, or whatever. Thanks a lot guys!

82=~180f
86=~186f
You really don't need lower than that, IMO.

You should read Fred/Injuneer's write-up of sensor readings.

Yes, I set mine a bit lower (80 and 82) and it seems to run too cold now, so I'll change that tomorrow. Thanks for that article, very good. Any other websites/articles on tuning LT1s? Thanks.
