I know the chain driven system has been proven it self very reliable and most of the time accurate. What I want to know is what makes a belt drive timing system better and why the hell does it cost so much more?.

Im intersted in the belt drive b/c 1. I like to be different and run out of the ordinary things and 2. Its a good conversation peice.

 

They are fine for a trailer queen or a dyno queen. Ya can't keep the dirt out of them on the street and that eat's them up.

 

got ya, Im assuming you cant put a cover on them?.

 

Ya might be able to fab something,but I have never seen one come with a cover. It would have to be a close fit to keep dirt and water out.
