timing chain set prices?
timing chain set prices?
Who has the cheapest lt4 extreme duty timing chain set?
GM parts direct - 206 or so, but I hear nothing but bad things about shipping and things of that nature.
Does Jason Cromer have the same prices as GM parts direct? He did on the LT4 Hot cam kit.
This is one of the last pieces of the puzzle that is a heads, cam, and header swap. I need one asap, but at a good price.
Thanks
Joe

There is another way to do it. You could get a cloyes double roller timing set and get an electric water pump. The cost is about the same if you get a csi pump. But you can free up some hp and cool the motor better.
The cloyes set you want isnt for an LT1... its a basic SBC chain and you need to swap to an electric water pump, as well as clearence the timing cover a bit to make it work. But it is a slightly cheaper alternative while freeing up horsepower as well.
