Timing chain question

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...0&autoview=sku

I want to get this timing chain for my 383 I'm building because of my non vented opti. I have a lunati one here, but I'm too nervous to put the thing on because of the amount of money I've spent on this project.

I have one question though, where is says 'verify as to a smooth or splined hole in cam sprocket', what exactly does that mean? Are they refering to the splined hole the opti drive goes into? If so, thats what I want, correct?

Re: Timing chain question

Ideally you should just get the vented opti and then you can get a cloyes double roller for cheap, unless you already have the new cam or don't wanna change the cam sprocket. I'll be selling my opti soon if you're interested.

agreed, a new build is the perfect time for a vented swap, get the correct cam, timing set, front cover, and the elect. harness and vac harness, then all you need is the opti
