Timing Chain Parts
I have a 95 with 150,000 miles, water pump it leaking. While I am
in I will be replacing the water pump, opti, and timing chain and sprockets. What other parts will I need for the for the timing chain replacement besides the chain and sprockets? Is there
a seal for the water pump shaft? Does the oil pan have to be
removed? Any guides for chain replacement?
Thanks in advance.

Chain and two gears is all unless you want to change the w/p drive gear, too (I'm guessing most people don't change that). There is a seal for the water pump shaft. Take special care and install it after the timing cover is on. Do a search for suggestions about that. The front of the oil pan should be lowered, so you can get the seal off without tearing it.

Shoebox... Do you know how to install the seal for the w/p drive gear? I am on my third seal and STILL cannot get it on properly. Is there a special tool or something?

Your objective is to avoid getting the seal caught on the splines of the gear or on the edge of the sealing surface.
