Arrow Timing chain options.... (cam install)

Hi guys,
I'm getting ready to put in an 847 cam in my '93 (with a '94 engine) and was wondering about my options as far as the timing chain goes.
I definetely want something stronger, but would rather not upgrade to an electric waterpump. (I've had one before and even did all the LED/SWITCH wiring for it, but it failed the first week after the purchase and I really don't want another one)

I do not plan to rev the engine past 6300 rpm and the heads will be stock. (with upgraded components of course)
Thanks!

Every option is a link type chain. GM is cheapest in price.

A lot will recommend the Extreme Duty set, but I think the stock set is sufficient. I just put a stock replacement on mine. The ED set was too expensive.

Since I wasn't going to spin that high with the CC306 (I shift at 6400), I threw a new stock chain on the stock sprockets and called it a day, cost me like $20 at AutoZone. But it is very important that you do go with a new timing chain because the old one is probably worn out.

I remember when you were pulling the stock motor and telling me how this was to be your daily driver and will remain stock and unmoddeed. Oh how the need for speed eats at us

Cloyes makes a direct replacement LT1 timing set. Part number 3031 I do believe. Got mine at OReillys for $95. It appears to be a little better construction than the factory set.

The stocker and the lt4s are all going to be sloppy unless you buy a slightly oversized crank sproket for them.

I just put a GM stock replacement on mine. Im pretty sure that your only options with a stock waterpump and the 93/94 timing cover is either the stock replacement or a Lunati(dont know part number, do a search, there are some threads about it). If you want to upgrade to the vented opti and 95+ timing cover, it really opens up your options to the LT4 and the LT4 ED.
