Timing Chain???
what is the strongest timing chain and gears for the LT1.....also would the Lt4 gears and chain be good for an LT1, and how nuch horsepower would it handle, thanks.

This would be best discussed in LT1 Tech, transfering.

And yes the LT4 stuff is good, but even better is a true double roller setup (though you need a electric water pump then).

The LT4 Extreme Duty timing set has been used on LT1's making up to 1,100+HP, running high spring pressure solid roller cams.... it should prove more than adequate for most of us

how much horsepower can the LT4 timing cain with sprokets handle, and is it a direct fit with no customizations ??

There is a difference between those sets. The GM LT1/LT4 Ed timing set that Fred mentions is much better/durable than the basic GM LT4 timing set, particularly considering the small price difference.
