I bought the xe 224/230 cam kit back in march. I haven't installed it yet, probably won't till august or winter. My question is, i'm not sure if this is the right cam. I just looked at the specs on the box, and these numbers are different than the one i thought i was getting. I'll give you the specs and you guys tell me if this is the right cam.

this is what i bought with it:
Comp Cams Pro-Magnum Rocker Arms ( 1.6 self aligning)
EX Components 612 Valve Srings
EX Components 138 Ultra Light Weight Chromoly Retainers
EX Components 391 Hardened Valve Locks
EX Components 720H Hardened Pushrods
I told them i drive it on the street and might go to the track once or twice a year. Does these specs sound like the right one? i saw some #'s like .544 lift or something like that.

Y not call comp and ask them?
.544 lift is right i believe. I had the 220/230 cam which was pretty similar but reved alittle higher. Have to see if the lift was shown with 1.6rr or 1.5(stock).

 

anybody else know if that is with 1.5 or 1.6 rr???

 

if it is a 224/230 it'd be .544 on 1.6 rockers

 

the xe224/230 came in different versions that varied in lift....

where did you buy it from?

Then no

That is a cast core (looks a lot like the stock one)

230/230 cam with a 114

That is not a 224/230

Sorry to tell ya but that's not what you thought it was.
