Timeslips!!!!

woooooooooooooooo

First time I ran the car ever! I got 3 runs in....I lost my first time slip, but it was the same as the 2nd one pretty much.

2nd run:
R/T: .875
60': 2.005
330: 5.725
1/8: 8.810
MPH: 79.49
1000: 11.479
1/4: 13.723
MPH: 100.70

3rd run:
R/T: .708
60': 2.026
330: 5.703
1/8: 8.766
MPH: 79.91
1000: 11.422
1/4: 13.658
MPH: 101.02

All in all, I'm very happy....keep in mind, I've never run the car before in my life, or any car at the track. I was nervous as hell and didn't get a good burnout on the first run cuz the car got sideways, but it still had the same 60'......2.0 on all 3 runs. Time to remove the front swaybar, drop PSI in rear tires a little, and maybe get an air bag for the hell of it.
I won all three races...last race was against an 03 cobra trapping 117, but I still beat him because I got him good off the line. I have all 3 runs on video....I'll have them up within a few days.

Not too shabby for your first time.

I'm assuming you ran at Moroso? They're track prep ain't exactly great...or consistant so if you ever catch them on a "good" night, you could probably get that 60' down to a 1.9 and hit 13.50s.

Glad to see your happy though, congrats.

Yeah, it was at moroso.....I know that they're not known for the best track prep, and BMP is better, but oh well. I'm gonna practice some more, and the next time I go back I'll have my SLP headers on.

Don't do burnouts on street tires. DR's need it but on regular street tires its always worked better for me just going around the burnout box and lighting them up just past it. Last time I did a huge burnout I could feel the car sliping sideways at the 1-2 shift. Course if you have DRs then this whole post is pretty much worthless.

if you are running dr's then yes you need to heat them up more.. bring your psi down a bit..

on dr's you should be cutting 1.8's at least..

the airbag will help.. on my LT1 I had it at 21psi in the right rear..

what are your mods?
