time for a new catback
Re: time for a new catback
Here's a good quality sound clip of the Hooker cat-back on an LT1 behind stock manifolds & cats...It sounds about the same as the Hooker I just took off of my LT1...Obviously, it would only sound better with some headers...

Alright i went ahead and ordered the Hooker catback..seems the sound will be immaculate with my setup
so this is how it will b and ill post a soundclip as soon as i can
MAC 15/8 mids to 2.5" MAC y pipe to 3" cutout to 3" supercat to the 3" Hooker catback
think itll sound good???i do
i will not be putting on those cheesy tips and will prolly fab 3" tips (from the 2.5" outlets)

You'll love it.
I've had nearly that identical setup. Mac 1 5/8", 2.5" Y-pipe, Carsound High Flow Cat, and Hooker catback.
Sounded great! I took the cat out, and replaced it with the bullet muffler. They both sound great. They bolt in and out, so I can change between the two in about 5 minutes.
The bullet is deeper and louder, the cat is a little smoother sounding and quieter. Neither one has any rasp.
