Time Drawing Near!!

Well... the day has finally come... well not yet, but it has finally been pushed into motion!!

I found a place around here that will search for a 94-97 Fully Loaded M6 Trans Am for me for 200$ and when they find it, put the 200$ towards the down payment. Then, pay weekly payments on the car until its mine!! I gave the 200$ on Wed, so here we go!!

First things first... I want a full exhaust, I want a sick sounding perfect exhaust. A deep freakin sick *** rumble, not to loud though, because of my neighbors. I live in a city type area. I was thinking about going Pacesetters LT's, Pacesetter Y, and a Magnaflow cat... I think that should get me pretty close to what I want, although I heard the 20TL, Hooker, and Flowmasters (Either love or hated) does something close to what i'm wanting to. What do you guys think?

2nd, I want 330HP and like 370lbs of torque. After my full exhaust, besides doing a turbo/sc... or h/c/i combo. What other things can I use to get that? Or do I have to do one of those in order to get those numbers? I love torque, torque is my thing. Torque is what makes me happy. L0L No 4:10 gears though, I do highway driving a lot.

Last thing... when I get it, what should I have my mechanic check out to make sure EVERYTHING is in perfect working order? I hear the car can be running slow if some stupid things aren't cleaned/maintained...

Thanks fellas... man i'm so psyched!!

well you definitly want to get full exhaust. For 330rwhp N/A you will need a more agressive cam (kit 1.6rr v/springs ect.) That should get you in that range or better depending on what cam you get. Hot cam kit will get that. It depends on how much you want to spend and what your future goals are. Happy hunting

My goals should be those numbers there, thats it... I don't expect to hit the 450 mark at all because I want this as my daily driver. Its going to be a looker/killer... hah... I mean. I guess 350-370hp and 410lbs of torque wouldn't be asking to much. If I go cam, i'm gonna get something worth my while, and I always hear... if you do a cam, you're better off doing some heads, and if your doing some heads, might as well do the intake manifolds... so thats why i'm trying to stay away from the cam idea.

You said you wanted lt headers and cat back right? You don't have to do heads with a cam install (will make more hp) but not a must, there are a lot of guys runing cams on stock heads. A few in the low 12's high 11's That is what I am going to do hopefuly with in the next couple of months. I am not sure you can get the #'s you want with out a cam, n/a might get close though.

What are some of the free easy mods to do for a few extra pounds of torque and a few extra ponies?

Also... what are some stock dyno numbers on a 94 TA? I hear all sorts of crap, is it really that different? Do certain cars come out just stronger/built better?

www.f-body.org this is a good site for mods. go to the install fix it guides. About the hp ratings for a 94 camaro or TA is 275hp you have to subtract for drive train loss wich is something like (don't quote me) 18% for auto and like 12% for M6. Also you mentioned some lt1's having more hp that others. Well I have heard of some guys having a "Factory freak" that dyno's with more hp straight out of the box. I know mine is no freak but she's getting faster every year

Hey... you think if I go Star Spec 4 on a car with a full exhaust, ram air hood, and... some other little bs mods. A Star Spec 4 would be to much? I think in the future I will do a heads, cam, and intake job to my LT1... but not for a little while for sure.

Anyway, a Star Spec 4 on like 290rwhp and like 330lbs of torque realistically speaking, would that be bad because of lack of power? I want like 310rwhp and like 350lbs of torque to drive around for a while. Then once I get tired of that, i'm gonna do the heads, cam, and intake... but not sure how long that'll be. hrm... I need some ideas though please...

Thanks...

Well... how about enough of help and ideas to beat the SRT-4 and other mid 13's to low 14 cars... I want to run like low 13's high 12's na. I know a heads/cam/intake package would do that. But i'm trying to steer clear of doing either of those 3 things without nitrous. Don't think thats even to possible unless I do turbo/sc but don't want to do that either. Sorry to be such a pest...
