Thumbs up Here we go again...A new 5th gen drawing

Ok, heres a new drawing I did.
Ill be the first to say (before I get slammed) that its very rough and slightly mishapen. Just pay attention to the general "feel" of it, and tell me if you like the vibes you get.

If I could draw, I would. But I suck.

You've got a roofline that's very similar to what I've got in mind, at least from what I can see (is it a hatchback?), but it's still too retro for my tastes.

Pretty good Ted, however I don't like the hood looping into teh bumper area... and the lights should have a darker tint.

TED I like it myself but it has a very edgy aggressive look. And I think one of the problems with the current 4th gen F-car is they are too aggressivly styled. IF GM designs a new Camaro I would imagine it would look more tame than the current car.

I see your line of logic , but I hope you are wrong...

I hope the next Camaro stands out in a crowd.

Hopefully they will view the Camaro as a reasonably priced niche vehicle as described in Ruess's speech... this way they won't have to appeal to everyone to meet their sales projections.

Its obviously exaggerated, and that's OK. I can actually imagine a car with similar lines coming from a Sigma chassis.

I disagree-- I think the current Camaro looks to soft and aerodynamic, whereas the Mustang has a nice, aggressive look to it. And we don't need to be reminded how the sales war ended up.

I like Ted's drawing, although I would change the front a bit. First, I know you're paying homage to earlier Camaros with your headlights, but I personally don't go for the 'retro' look. Evolving the character of a car is good (2nd gen to 3rd gen is a perfect example, very well executed), but you still need to move forward. Also, I would eliminate the 'dip' in the middle of the grille-- it looks like it's grinning or something, and takes away from the natural flow of the lines.

Man, I wish I could draw like you .

Thumbs up

If that car was put into production, I'd buy it for a Camaro price.

It seems like you're trying to blend in too many different cues from the different generations. While some cues would be welcome, I'd like to see a completely new shape, an evolution.

I wish I could draw like that. If I cover up the front, I like the rest! The "face" looks like a chinese man.(no offense to our chinese readers)

I agree with things said by R377. I too want it to be a car that constantly gets looks lik ethe previous Gens. Use cues from all Gens but alot of new design also. I think the shape of the car pretty good, but I don't really like anything else.

I like it, Ted. Particularly the fenders and rear quaters. It definitely adds some "muscular" look into the drawing ...
