After doing some freeway racing....i noticed my car starts to make a slight ticking noise when i step on the gas (I can hear it in higher gears...not so much in 1st & 2nd...probably because my exhaust is too loud. at idle, or at highway cruising speeds, the ticking isn't there...or at least i don't hear it. it seems to come with the acceleration. Anyway...i haven't taken off the valve covers yet. Do you guys think it could be a slight exhaust leak at the heads to header surface, or bent valves or pushrods? The car seems to be running completely fine with the same power as before....just the ticking. I've checked the oil level and pressure, both are fine. The car does not run hot or missfire. Anyone with a similar experience or ideas?

 

I would say check the exhuast for sure.
