My engine quits on me

As I got to work this morning, I was backing my car into my parking spot, and suddenly my engine died. I restarted the car and the engine would run for about 30 seconds, and then the RPM would slowly go down until the engine died again. After the engine quits I get a "Check Guages" light, but when I restart the engine everything looks normal. For some reason it will start OK, but it won't keep running for long.

Any thoughts?

I'm probably gonna have to get it towed.

First off your going to get that check gauges light by default when the engine is running and then dies as it will trigger with the oil pressure dropping like that. What year is the car? There are several factors that can attribute to this type of issue.

check your fuel pressure, it may be a failing pump

Add a "signature" with basic info about the car - year, model, engine, tranny and any major mods.

My car is a 1997 Camaro SS with a stock LT-1 that has 138,000 miles. I recently replaced the fuel pump about a month ago.

My 96 did the same thing.... mine was a leaking intake gasket. At least pulling the intake and replacing the horribly bad gasket seemed to fix my issue.

Put a scanner on it and check for codes.

Well, it turns out the fuel pump did quit on me again. Fortunately its still under warranty so it won't cost me any money to replace it.
