Throwout bearing
Throwout bearing
Im trying to replace my clutch, Ive disconnected the transmission and bellhousing, but the transmission wont slide out. The throwout bearing is stuck in place on the input shaft. I cant get the fork/release lever to come loose from on top of it. Is their something else required or was this probably the cause of my clutch not disengaging?
This happened to me. The clutch is a reverse pull clutch. You have to remove the clutch fork before you pull the tranny off. Remove the access plate. There is a bolt that is the fulcrum of the fork. Take it out and then slide the clutch fork out. It took me about 2 hours of prying to figure it out.
