Throttle response any ideas?

I have a 97z28 M6, when I open it up shifting seems to kill me. The car gets up to the redline I shift and the rpms drop and have to catch back up? Does this have anything to do with the traction control system? I obviously dont use it but if it is, is there a way to eliminate it?

Traction Control? Didn't know you had it. Anyway, you are probably hitting the rev limiter which is mostl likely set at 5800, therefore when you are rowing though the gears and hit the limiter you are naturally going to loss rpms. Or you are hitting valve float because the stock springs tend to peter out at high rpms.

Get some stronger springs and have your limiter set higher. And...please enlighten me about the Traction Control on an M6---I have an SS, so perhaps mine didn't come with the Control.

Thx.
