The pics dont show it. you cant see the smoke or anything.. What rings not sealing? Its a tinny steady stream of smoke.. like a steady line.. but you have to REALLY look to see it...

Can it possibly be something else? What about because i dont have my car tuned yet? Maybe the valves are staying open longer? or somthing... Could it possibly not be the piston rings?

Not trying to hijack your post here, but do you remove the pcv valve and replace it with the breather filter?

No.. The breather filter goes on the valve covers... Where the line goes to the TB, on that line but on the valve cover..

What is the point of having that valve cover line that goes to the TB?

It provides metered air to the PCV system. If there is excessive pressure in the crankcase, oil entrained air can also travel in reverse, back toward the throttle body.

No, he means his rings are. Too much blow-by.

If you want to entertain yourself on the subject of the PCV system, read this http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=164835 .

At this point, country should be doing a couple of things. First a leak down test of the all the cylinders is a must. Then he should put a manometer on the oil dipstick and see what the crank case vacuum level is. I would put money on either a bad PCV system, bad head gasket and last bad cylinder.

To follow up, hey country, did you ever have a bad cylinder in the past where it wasn't firing?
