I see alot of people in here have a tb bypass on their car.I want to know what the procedure would be for doing this, and whether it would be a good idea to do on my car?

Re: throttle body bypass

Yeah, it's a good idea. Just remove the coolant hoses from the bottom of the throttle body and join them together with a 3/8" hose coupler and some clamps. Like this.

Well it doesn't make the air cooler, but it keeps the air from getting hotter.

With heated coolant flowing through the throttle body, a little heat transfers to the air flowing into the engine. No coolant flowing equals no added heat transfer.

I believe it helps in the winter to warm up the incoming air a little. Thats what I heard somewhere.

No Canadian members have complained. Don't worry about it.

I thought it was to keep the throttle body butterfly from freezing and/or sticking from the cold.
