Well I want to get a 58mm throttle body for my 1994 b4c but I read the reviews of some aftermarket ones but almost everything i read was bad. Now i'm woundering just how far i could bore out my stock throttlebody,can it be bored out to 58mm...I'm thinking probably not...

 

No it cant, 52mm is pretty much the limit.

52mm is also the diameter of the holes in the intake manifold.

 

yea i know the holes in the intake are 52mm but i can port those out myself... so is 52mm the absolute most one can be bored?

 

also is the 48mm the mesurement of one hole of the throttlebody or both of them?

 

The pratical maximum on the stock TB is 54mm...I had mine bored to that. You will have to open up the stock manifold openings to accept a 54mm bore or the throttle blades hit.

The number quoted is the diameter or each bore.....
