throttle adjustment
throttle adjustment
well after my build up: 503, longtubes, Impala HG, port and polish... I put a vette TB on the car also (had it painted)
anyways I was looking at the TPS readings and saw that at WOT (key on engine off) the TPS was only at 3.10V and 65% throttle angle.
I adjusted the cables slack to max and got 79% throttle angle and about 3.5XV. I have traction control with the motor pack on the drivers VC, so my question is, is there a way to adjust more of the slack out of the cable, because the cruise still doesn't work that well either? and it all goes through that motor unit. thanks for the help

Sounds low.... but its not clear if the 65% and 79% numbers are physical measurements, or the values for TPP extracted from the PCM using scanner. If you're looking at the blades and they are not fully open with your foot on the floor, there's a problem with the linkage. If you are reading the TTP off the PCM, it may be related to the TPS sensor electronics.
I am in Florida right now and the car is in Michigan, so when I get back I will check the tps readings again, but there was more travel when the pedal at wot and someone physically checking for additional travel under the hood. 65%was throttle angle and when I did the simple adjustment the throttle angle went up to 79%
I always adjust the mechanical linkage first (butterflys on end-stop adjustment screw at idle and 90 degrees at WOT), then measure and adjust the TPS voltage next. About .620 volts (620 mv) at idle and 4.5 volts or greater at WOT.

I had the same [problem when I had traction control.
Thank god the cable finally broke and I didtched the TCS and have a much better looking engine bay and a brand new Throttle cable. The pedal feels so much better now.
