Threw a P1371... But theres more to it...
Ok, so last night I stopped over to a friends house... Couple hours later, Go to leave and Click,Click,Click, car wont start, Full voltage. Cheap *** pep boys starter I put in 6 months ago is shot. Tried the hammer to it, still wouldnt help it, I could hear the starter clicking underneath, So I'm pretty sure thats it as the voltage is where it should be (also full headlights, radio, etc), Well we pop start it, no big deal so I can get home, Thought maybe it was to cold for the starter or something.. This am, Same thing, So I pop start it and let her warm up, Come back in the car, Now the ses light is on, Scan it and I got P1371 that came up 1of1, I know this is a low-res faliure code? for the opti? I ran the car up to my grandparents house to put it back in the garage and swap cars for my winter beater, I ran it up the highway to 110 and it seemed liek it ran no differnt, Do you think the code came up because I pop started the car??
Also does anyone know where to get a starter the cheapest?
AC-Delco this time or something better... Time for an LT4 starter I think...
Thanks in advance..

I would clear the code and see if it comes back. It very well may have come from your starting procedure.

I cleared it, But the car wont start so I wont be able to check until I replace the starter again... I think I'm gonna go with an LT4 this time.. Its a smaller unit isnt it?
Do you have the part # Rob?
I got it from ya before but I lost it..
Thank you Sir..
