Those of you with eagle forged cranks inside!

I have my motor on the engine stand and im putting it together but I noticed on the crank there is one key way in the front and nothing in the back.. there is no key to hold the timing chain sproket in place.. What gives? Its completely round in the back.. the keyway upfront is for the hub not the timing chain sprocket. what do I do??

Was it one big long slot or did it have a small one up front and nothing in the back?

I know next time check O'Reillies, they have them in stock. (not the half ones for the LT1, but the full ones)

But with these cranks, you need two separate keys. The full ones would need to be cut, and being tool steel that isn't a fun job.

Yes, two seperate small full keys, not the chopped ones like from the factory. I have a keyed hub and just bought the keys for a 95 5.7 L in a chevy pick-up. Got two small "full" keys.
