Just as the title says. Whoever has dynoed before and after a long tube install, what were the gains you have seen? I know this topic is brought up alot, but its never solid information. Everyone always guesses and bickers, some saying 15RWHP, others saying 15 MORE RWHP then with shorties, which already give about 10 to 15 ... No one EVER has the dyno runs to back it up.

So what is it, closer to 15RWHP or closer to 30RWHP with a good set of well designed long tube headers.

lol someone has to of dynoed before and after ...

I was jsut wondering the exact #'s cause people's estimates vary so much.

You hear people say shorties are good for 10 to 15 RWHP
Then the same ppl say good Long tubes will get you 10 to 15 MORE RWHP then shorties ... And I see NO WAY passible that a lightly modded LT1 can gain any more then say 25RWHP from headers ...

Well, I have midlengths, and I gained 30 rwhp from the headers and catback. That was with a cat still in the system and running a little rich. I now removed the cat, and the gain from headers, no cat, and a catback is 35 rwhp. With the cat in, I dynoed 285 rwhp, and now I should be at least at 290 rwhp. Most stock M6's are about 255 rwhp.

I got 16 at the wheels with LT's, and !cats. My big gain was when I had it tuned after the headders. I got 22RWHP from Ion at madz28.com. I don't think I would have seen that much HP from a tune if I hadn't done headders.

I don't have before and after dyno sheets, but I do have before and after track times. I picked up a best of 8 tenths and 8 mph. So, that should tell you lots right there. I did dyno 277/314 which is impressive through an auto. I got some good torque.

I was running 13.8s at 101 before LTs and after the car will run consistent 13.4s at 104. I put in a new tranny with a 2800 stall when I did the LT install as well.
