Jegs also carries the wiring harness. I would absolutely recommend using one because their install directions are extremely confusing. Dunno if the MSD one works but Jegs carries the mallory harness. Call 'em and ask.

Cool man thanks...I can get my ignition and harness from one place. BTW nice NX pics, I might try putting the Mallory in the glovebox...I mean hey its $220 of electronics!!

And just a friendly suggestion - put a 2800 stall in that purdy Camaro...it'll do wonders

Actually, you'll find the glovebox is about the only place you CAN put it I worked about every underhood position and came up with zilch. It takes up most of the glovebox as well, just try and find a place the size of your glovebox under the hood

And about the stall....I'm waiting for my cam/heads project in about a year to put one in so I don't have to wind up buying 2

Well I got the VI-CD today from Jeg's and before ordering the harness, I remembered that the 94/95 cars have a different coil connector than the 96/97 cars. What do I do now? I'd really rather not cut into my factory wires. #29068 works on 94/95 cars, which means it wont work on mine...and its the only harness mentioned in the install guide for our specific ignition configs. How SOL am I?

Dave,

I have the Mallory VI-A (not CD). I used the MSD-8877 harness, single connector for 96 and up GM cars. Was a perfect plug-in. It should work for you. Summit carries it.
