Those with !Air inside please!

Ok, i am about to remove the air pump and hoses and such, and I wanted to know what you guys used to cap or plug the hole on your CAI where the hose was. I found that I need to use 22mm plugs for my manifold holes, but it didn't say what to use for the CAI hole. Thanks guys,

Ryan

On my SLP CAI I moved my IAT to the hole for the air pump. I put a K&N mini foilter on the hose for the airpump. Later I completely removed all the air pump crap. What you can use is a rubber cap(i used a 1") It is actually a chair leg rubber cap.

No horsepower gains. Just clears up the engine bay a little.

Also, what is the best way to remove the pipes on the manifold? I soaked them in WD-40 overnight, and I'm not sure the best way to remove them. Thanks again,

Ryan

My air tubes on the exhaust mainfolds unbolted right away. I would soak overnight they should come right off.

Has anyone removed the hard line that goes underneath the engine? If so, how did you do it?

I used a Dremel and cut it in different places. You can see it's in pieces.

I used a 3/4" vacuum cap on my Moroso.

I wasn't able to do it. I don't know how people get in there. I'm gonna do it during my heads swap, should be easy then.

Oh man I set to that one day because I'd had about enough of that thing being in my way. Well it turned out I was a little short handed on tools but was too deep to turn back.

I ended up bending the tubes back and forth and back and forth by hand for half the night until they got brittle and broke. That was a free muscle workout I wish I didn't get.

Just make sure you have some cutting tool or you will be there a long time trying to get it out. I thought if I broke it in the bottom center I could bend it around enough to get it out. That was not the case. I had to break it in several more places.. by the bending method described above no less. I wish that on no one, so find something small that you can get in there to cut it all up for removal.

Other than that I like having it out of my way for the times I have to get in and reach plug wires or whatever.

I have come to the conclusion that a dremel is a required tool for your box.
A dremel with a cutoff wheel zipped right through that line, I had it out in like 5 minutes.
Dremels come in handy everywhere.

get some green handle shears and cut close to the oil pan and It should come right out, It's also attached to the air pump bracket which u can toss.
