You don't have a 'chip'. You'll see the most gain out of a custom tune. Everything else out there is junk, IMO.

2. Custom tune= $125.
3. Hi-flow cat= $47-ebay

I like the sound of that. is the hi-flow cat absolutely necessary? and what would that suspension stuff do? I'd like to do a strut tower bar? just because it looks cool. does it do anything?

A high flow cat is mainly a necessity if you have to pass emissions and you need a cat in place. Also, it does help to keep the exhaust note cleaner meaning there will be less raspiness versus the cat not being there altogether. As for the suspension, what good is power if you can't get it to the ground? Lower control arms and relocation brackets are usually some cheap, good mods to help with that. As for the strut tower brace, it is arguable about how good it is. Some people feel it really shines in the high HP cars because it helps to keep stability in the front end.

Hi flow cat gives a much better sound and flow so yes, it is necessary. The poly bushibgs are easy to install and they are a very cheap way to improve handling and remove or reduce body roll in a turn. If you want to go farther with the suspension to improve traction (LCAs) you can but it will cost more $$$. I had BMR LCAs on my last car and they were awesome but I don't have them on my new car because I don't think there worth it on a purely street car. Drawbacks are a rougher ride and more road noise, but you get good rear traction (but then it's harder to spin 'um )

I dont know, suspension just doesn't seem that critical to me. besides, my car won't be as fun if its hard to spin em up

poly bushings and endlinks control body roll and handling, not wheel spin...
