thinking of some new mods
If the labor is free...
1. Uncoated pacesetter (emissions) mids w/y-pipe= $250 new (got mine off the board for $150. (substitute LTs add+ $150)
2. Custom tune= $125.
3. Hi-flow cat= $47-ebay
4. Poly bushings for front/rear swaybar and panhard rod= $45.
5. That's it= Money in the bank...

I like the sound of that. is the hi-flow cat absolutely necessary? and what would that suspension stuff do? I'd like to do a strut tower bar? just because it looks cool. does it do anything?
A high flow cat is mainly a necessity if you have to pass emissions and you need a cat in place. Also, it does help to keep the exhaust note cleaner meaning there will be less raspiness versus the cat not being there altogether. As for the suspension, what good is power if you can't get it to the ground? Lower control arms and relocation brackets are usually some cheap, good mods to help with that. As for the strut tower brace, it is arguable about how good it is. Some people feel it really shines in the high HP cars because it helps to keep stability in the front end.
